My hobby, Swedish stamp collector
The stamp above is the famous Swedish 3 schilling Banco (s. 1x), coat-of-arms, yellow (discolored), from 1857. It's one of the first Swedish stamps that was released. Was sold at an auction for 14,9 million S.kr (approximately 2,25 million dollars). The stamp was placed on public view on the "Nordia" exhibition in Malmö (Sweden) 95. I was there, of course.
I've been collecting stamps since I was 6 years old. My first one was (still in my possession) an old postmarked stamp from
1942. My grandfather gave it to me and it was from Palestine. In the beginning I didn't specialize on a country or postmarked
stamps. I collected on every stamp that I could get. Now I'm specialized on Swedish and
Israeli unmarked stamps. The most
interesting about Israeli stamps is that they have a "Tab". It's an extra
little stamp below that contain a quotation from
the bible or a picture associating the stamp above. If you want to see a Israeli
stamp click here!. The Israeli unmarked stamps are harder to get because you can't bay them anywhere.
Every year when my mother visit Israel she buys some stamps to me.
Since 1984 I've had a subscription on Swedish unmarked stamps, booklets and until last year also first day cover. For more

Sometime I order stamps by mail. When I order it's from Philatelia catalogue (Kake

My favorite Swedish stamp engraver is with out a doubt Czeslaw Slania. His stamps are very detailed and pretty.
One of his stamp sheets that I like is Czeslaw Slania, the court engraver, 70th birthday.
The picture (stamp) to the right is part of the sheet from 1991-10-05 and it's showing details from Pilos (b. 1711 - d. 1793) painting "Gustav III:rd coronation".
If you want to look at my favorite stamps click here!. I have all of them in my collection. All of my
favorite stamps can't fit into
this site but I'll come back with more some other time.
I have other hobbies like my beloved but quarrelsome computer (Pent. MMX 166, 32 Mb RAM, 1,2 Gb HD).
When I purchased some new parts (CPU, motherboard, graphic card and SoundBlaster) to upgrade it didn't work like I wanted.
But after some tears and more investments my PC finally worked.
