HistoryEagle owl (Bubo bubo) Europe's largest owl with a length of c:a 60 cm. Span: c:a 160 cm. Weight: 2-2,5 kg. The owl is yellow brown with black spots, has large, black eye crest. Nocturnal bird that feeds on rodents, crows and other birds. Exists in most parts of Europe, North Africa and Asia. The bird has once breaded all over Sweden but is nowadays rare because of the ruthless pursuit.
