Dark clouds over swedish television

2001-04-28

According to a journalist from the eveningpaper Expressen, the climate for the employees in swedish television seems to lack in openness. They are not allowed to show their contracts. Each contract is individually layed out in order to make identification possible in case somebody would anonymously reveal its content (editing away names etc). The conditions are such that they will retroactively have to pay back money if they break the secrecy after having left the job. The journalist had informal talks with several experienced individuals and there seems to be little doubt that it is true although none of the interviewed people dared show a contract.

I am guessing that this is connected with swedish national economic considerations, affecting the export industry. Ie we are to shut up about sensitive issues, such as mind control, otherwise our export industry might suffer.
