PLASTIC PRIDE
Catapulting out of the Umeå-hardcorescene early 1995 Plastic Pride quickly established
themselves as a force to reckon with. The basic idea was to create a fresh, experimental
group that for ones put music- not image- in first place. The result was a blending mix of
hard chewing riffs and bombastic rhythms.
After releasing two albums containing vulnerable rock combined with the bombings of hardcore the aggressive screaming is almost gone, this time replaced with soaring, melodic vocals, but the intensity of the hard pounding music is yet to be experienced as all truth and nothing but the truth. Or as the band's vocalist Jan stated: - We are far too young to entangle ourselves within any musical genre. There's so many unopened doors that we want to brake down and right now Plastic Pride works like a battering ram. We have much left to experience and there's no chance we'll slow down. As a promise they represent development, change and revolution in all its manners.
As an assault to anything and everything
coming out of the speakers of the daily stereosound Plastic pride comes as a force to
reinvent musical activity, poetry and somewhat of a classical creation. The overwhelming
production, the charismatic emission and the intelligent songwriting comes to a
combination of a surely inspiring and "truthful" existence. This record comes as
a taste of something bigger and something new. We love to present Plastic Pride as one
hell of a conspiracy producing extraordinary beautifully beats and rhythms against
repetitive productions...
