Hint.
(released in Destination newsletter, spring-97)
This interview was done for a long time ago, just before we even thought about releasing
the split seven inch between them and Now or never.
Is the demo on Destination recordings
the only demo you have released?
No we have released a one demo before the new one (follow..). That one was without
Johanna. We only made 70 copies, but the new one is better.
Are you pleased with the sound?
Well, I think we are satisfied with the sound, but it can be better. If you mean just the
sound on the demo we're not very satisfied. The sound isn't bad but we aren't satisfied. I
guess you never are.
Have you hears many nice comments about the demo, we (destination) got a letter
just a couple of days ago and it were from a guy who thought that the demo was so great
that he cried because it was powerful, emotional. How do you react on comments like that?
Ohhh, did someone cry? It's very nice to hear that.. So far we have only heard good
comments about our demo, but those with critics don't have the guts to tell us the bad
parts.
Featuring gigs?
Umeå and Sundsvall in the early summer, otherwise I guess locals and some other cool
places.
Is there any hardcore scene where you live?
Oh man, we live in the hardcore heart in the world. LKPG HC. I just say Nine, outlast and
you'll will understand what I mean.
Can you tell me a bit about each each person in the band, what they are doing when
they're not playing with HINT?
FloX (singer): he plays floorbandy and he is very pedantic about
his vegetarian food. He takes B12 pills and so on. He's 16 years old and goes to music
school. Per (bass): He plays with another band also. He buys a
lot of records and bothers me all day long. He's also 16 years old.
Gabriel (guitar): 16 years old, plays tennis and classical
guitar. He's a great student in school. Johanna (singer nr.2):
she is 15 years old and she also goes to music school! Her brother plays with Interlace
(another band in LKPG). She's vegetarian. Linus (drums), myself. Well I am vegan. I have
played drums since I was 5 years old and I'm going to music school.
Which subjects do you touch the most with your lyrics. Political or personal
feelings, or
?
Gabriel writes almost all lyrics, but I think that it's most personal feelings, sometimes
over political occasions.
Okay It's all for now, do you have any last comments that feel important?
I just would like to say, thank you Destination Recordings for helping us out!
