MeteorScatter or more populary called MS is also an exciting part of my hobby. Every day, every second, it come a lot of small parts of meteorits into the earth atmosphere; must of them will burn up when they come into the athmosphere.

But some smaller particles survive and this little stuff or dust can be used for radiocommunication.The trails after such a particle can reflect radiosignals but, because the trails usually are very short the duration of the time is very short.

We use special highspeedkeyers; the speed goes up to 3000 LPM. A higher speed is not unusual today and, to record, we use taperecorder or DTR to reduce the speed to a more comfortable speed for the ear.

It is possible to overcome distances up to 2000 km ++, if the signals have nothing to reflect to or bounce then, the signals will go straight away out to the universe or to other civilisations may be !

That is for 144 Mhz and higher.
