SPECIMENS

Rolled steel billets as square or round profiles:

• Basic material : Ingots or continous casted slabs
• Processing stage : rolled and straightened
• Profile section : 50 to 250 mm
• Length : min 4 m
• Straightness deviation : max 5 mm per meter length, max. 10 mm/100 mm at the ends
• Surface finish : as rolled, without loose scale, shot blasted or brushed
• Billet ends : cut or sawn, without protruding burr
• Temperature : 5 to 60 °C

Square profiles:

• Edge radius : approx. 10 % of section
• Angle tolerance : 90° ±2°
• Twist of profile : max. 2° per meter length
• Amount of crown : max. 1 mm

Round profiles:

• Ovalization : max. 2% of diameter
