The MP3CD is running Caldera Open Linux 1.2 with stable kernel 2.0.35.

For decoding mp3-files Xaudio (by MpegTV) is used. Mixer settings are done with aumix.

For controlling Xaudio, the display and the key-pad a small C-program (playcom) has been written (source code on the download-page).
