To Islanders: Belanger (Ken)

Islanders recently traded away McCarthy (Sandy) and the yfelt they needed another proven goon. Flyers went through a period last year when they snapped up several goons. They have tried to dump them ever since and now they seem to be on their way. Belanger, whom they no longer wanted to pay for, goes to Isles and Cummins is on his way to Pens through the free agency. The 5th pick is probably not going to be worth much, but the Flyers just wanted to get rid of Belanger. Isles makes a steal here, getting a bonnafied goon for basically nothing.

Panthers - Sabres

To Sabres: Dome and Wells

To Panthers: Ndur and Manderville

Sabres steal Dome under the noses from Flyers, Avs and basically every other team. Nobody thought he was for tradeable and especially not this cheap. Dome, a very promising center, and Wells, another young center. Panthers in return got Manderville who is a center but no way near as talented as Dome nor Wells. Also Ndur joins up with Panthers. Ndur is a solid looking young nigerian defender. Big, strong and hopefully for the Panthers he will turn into a major defender cause Dome surely will turn into a major center...

Sabres makes a killer trade here and that's what they needed to do. They need the prospects for the future because no matter what they do the present looks grim for them...
