the medieval Gotlandic "farman" (farmer-merchant) is wrong, and that all the Gotlandic over-seas trading was in the hands of the citizenship of Visby.  It's also shown, that the picture of Visby as a German city is wrong.  In the city it existed a big and important Gotlandic citizenship, which also was counted as fully members of the later hansa.  This book is of big importance, not only from the Gotlandic horizon, but also from the hanseatic.

mers and gotlandic citizenship), studerar relationerna mellan staden Visby och den gotländska landsbygden.  I denna bok visas det, att bilden av den medeltida gotländske farmannen är felaktig, och att all den gotländska fjärrhandlandeln låg i händerna på Visbyborgerskapet.  Det visas också, att bilden av det tyska Visby är felaktig.  I staden fanns ett stort och viktigt gotländskt borgerskap, vilket också räknades som fulla medlemmar i den senare hansan.  Denna bok är viktig, inte bara ur gotländsk horisont, men även hanseatisk.

Both the books are published in a number of only 250 copies.  They will primarely be offerd to institutions,,but a small number will also be available for privat buyers, to the same price.  The cost is 250 respectively 200 crowns, plus cover and freight.
