The Golden Flame
Always following a path he stumbles
how did he come here?
The path is dark, as it has all the time
He sees a light far ahead of him
but he never reaches it,
try as he might
Travelling the paths of night
he walks towards the flickering spot of light
The path is hard to follow
there&#acute;s always others meeting with it and the
wonderful sights and sounds always luring him off
the path.
Waguely he remembers the words of the old woman
in the field
"Do not stray from the path, then you will be lost forever"
But thec words are so hard to pay heed to now
in the middle of the darkness.
Sometimes he get a glimpse of how his life
may have been
if he just chose to turn away from
that golden flame ahead of him
turn away from the path and into the darkness beyond.
Many times he nearly does it
Just some steps in another direction
Than in which the path is leading him
He knows he will never be able to turn back
The way he came
The path leads only one way
towards the flickering light
tha golden flame
He knows he will reach it
someday
he will reach the goal
That thought is burning
in his mind
keeps him on the path
although he is tired
his steps often falters
and he desires only rest
he knows
by the golden flame
all he ever desired
all he ever dreamt of
will be fulfilled
therefore he struggles on
never letting his eyes off the flame
the golden flame
which he will reach
somehow he know that
the golden flame will fullfill his dreams and desires
The Golden Flame.
Then there will be peace
When the last light of the day
fades away
I cry to the sky
If anyone can hear me
I just want to see
how the world can be healed
And all the weapons sealed
Then there will be peace
Stop polluting the seas
In every land
People join each other´s hands
A future
without torture
will form
and take the world with storm
Mankind will be at ease
Then there will be peace
A new civilization arises from the ashes
Through eyelashes
wet with tears
the new world will be seen
There are no more fears
Then there will be peace
