Back on the river after a stop in a village downriver, they were celebrating Dogday and accordingly decorated all the stray dogs with flowers and paint. everybody seemed to enjoy this except the dogs. This was the sixth day on an 11 day long festival, each day celebrating a different animal (monkey, Pig and so on). You have to hand it to the Nepalese, they are very good at festivals, seems like they have a two week festival every month.
