KRISTIN ALLWOOD

Swedish artist born in the USA, but brought up in Sweden.
She has been painting for 30 years and has done many artcourses in i.e.
Sweden, Austria and Greece and has had many exhibitions in several countries.
She sees art as a window, out towards the world and in, towards the soul. She finds it important that the art is related to both the external and the internal reality, but also that it is a conveyer of beauty, experiences and imagination. My abundant contact with different cultures in the world and in the history is often a source of inspiration for my artistic work. Artschools that have been of importance to me are e.g. expressionism and surrealism. I work with different technics and materials, mostly acrylic and textile, but also i.e. oil.I experiment and appreciate variation and I often use symbols in my art. Kristin Allwood is a member of the national Swedish Federationation for artists; Svenska Konstnärsförbundet and of IKIS, Swedish organisations of international artists. She speaks English, German, Spanish and Scandinavian languages. Exhibitions :
