The Inner Ring

Orlanth the Chief; Kurash Whisper (Orlanth SV). A trusted, stubborn man with a bony face, whose remarkable deed of hanging upside-down in a tree for many nights during Storm Season - praying for gentle winds - is still talked about in popular speech.

Lhankor Mhy the Sage; Loricon the Poet (Orlanth Ac). This Lawspeaker (who is also a very popular juror, thanks to his long memory) holds the Lhankor Mhy-position, due to the continual absence of the pure Lhankor Mhyings. They spend most of their time in Jonstown. But Loricon is also respected for his graceful reverence and his poetical recitings, which often have almost prophesy-like content and accuracy

Issaries the Guide; Brannath Stalker (ret. Issaries Goldentounge). An old man with a considerable arsenal of Rune Magic, but nowadays he is mostly interested in trading fish and exotic pearls. His skill in diplomatic action and languages explains his place on the Ring.

Chalana Arroy the Healer; Blue-Kisses-Enerin (Chalana HH). This remarkable woman has a background as a Humakt warrior woman, but after a spiritual experience 20 years ago she left the God of Death for the Goddess of Life. Her husband, of the Colymar tribe, she met in Runegate when trying to heal the survivors of the Crimson Bat attack on Runegate in 1602. Blue-Kisses-Enerin is a sociable woman with a strong will and authority.

Eurmal the Thief; Arlioth the Drunken (Minlister in). A Master-breweress and a keeper of many secrets, whose "Scald-Mead" has been of considerable help in many delicate decisions of the Ring. She has a tendency to be provocative and a knack for trouble-making.

Grandfather Culbrea; Rodrak Sheepneck (Orlanth in) A man who is very down-to-earth and with a steady handshake. He has a superb knowledge of marriages, kin relationships, bloodlines and distribution of steads and farmlands.

This staff is held by the Lawspeaker  of the Culbri Ring (currently Loricon the Poet) to denote his status. It is a symbol of the first Lawstaff brought by King Heort to his people.

Vinga the Adventuress; Brenna Rostirsdotter (Orlanth WL) An energetic, active and hot-headed woman who is also a weaponthane at King Galvharst's Hall. Among her many deeds these are especially noteworthy: "the Adventure of Rolling Rocks" "Manslaughter in Alone" " the Adventure of the Sad Dragon" "the Adventure of Furthest by night" and "Into the Caves of Ginijji".

*Hrothmir Fisheye (Orl ac), steadfast, stiff-legged and revering the nature, he has also conquered two Lunar scimitars.
*Robasart Standfast (Orl & Odayla in), a rather fat heavy man with dour and dark eyes.
*Ernolon the Lowlaid (Orl in), a humorous man with impressive moustaches and as impressive oratory.
*Tarkor of Crossing Stead (Orl ac) a wise juror, knowledgeable with the Law and three times the visitor of Mount Kero Fin.
*Farkal Thunderfoot of Partols stead. (Guess what? a PC.)
*Rundina of Bear Stead (Odayal in) a probing, thoughtful and moving woman who is everybody's favourite during the winter dances.
*Valensta of Fox Hollow (Ernalda & Iss in) one of the leading traders at the Fox Hollow market and an owner of many coins.
*Rinna Bluebreast (Ernalda & Orl in), a competitor to Valensta - much poorer though.
*Bone-Gizzur (Orl in), a very good warrior and he is proud of it as well - holds a grudge against the Kheldon tribe.
*Enerin the Breathtaking of High Stead (Ernalda pr),the owner of many mighty Runes, both material and spiritual. Nothing to mess with.
*Hinora Grey Pine (Ernalda in), always worries about her husband who has been a Lunar hostage for years now.
*Oranda Bushdoctor (Ernalda ac & Ch Arroy in) knowledgeable in the ways of the herbs and a friend to many animals.
*Gordangar Two-knots (Orl & Ernalda in), able to brawl like a real man and keen to show it.
*Arnbord the Black (Orl & Barntar in), a choleric man who once won the hand of the Harvest Queen.
*One-legged Mosdorl (Orl & Hum in), once a mercenary and housecarl, nowadays he is a successful "summoner" of otherworldly spirits.
*Karen the Widow (LM in), a sharp and cold-hearted rune-carver, she commands her stead with an iron-hand.
*Ulandrosi Blacksmith (Orl & Gust in), a roaring, hectic man who lost his right eye to the Lunars in 1613.
*Leika Green (Ernalda in), maybe the most beautiful woman of the clan she also has a winning way.
*Dastrandos Korlmhyson (Odayala MH), a brave and stubborn man who once single-handedly defended his stead against Chaos.
