AMG REVIEW: Everything I Love is
further proof that Alan Jackson is
one of the finest country singers of the '90s. Jackson continues
to mine
traditional country and honky tonk for source material, yet he
isn't afraid to
update the sound with electronic instruments. That fearless
experimentation is
kept in check by his ability to keep his music simple and
straight-forward --
there is no question that Jackson deals only in pure honky tonk.
Of coruse, his
musical experimentation wouldn't be quite so effective if he
didn't have a fine
set of songs to back him up, and on Everything I Love, he has
some of his
finest ever, including "Little Bitty," "A House
with No Curtains" and "Must've
Had a Ball." -- Thom Owens, All-Music Guide
