After three years of studies with the tenor Santalouna in Nîmes, she continued her development at the Paris Academy of Music where one of her teachers was the renowned soprano Janine Micheau. Immediately following her debut as Marguerite in Gounod's Faust at the Opera House in Nancy, she was engaged at the Paris Opéra-Comique (debut as Antonia in Les contes d'Hoffmann). During her engagement, she sang Micaëla, Mimi and the title roles in Massenet's Manon and Mireille. She became a member of the Opéra de Paris where she made her debut as Marguerite in Faust. When Carmen was performed for the first time at the Opéra de Paris, (Palais Garnier) she sang Micaëla opposite Jane Rhodes as Carmen. She appeared as a guest at the Wexford Festival in Ireland in 1961, at the performances in Baalbeck in 1962, at the Chicago Lyric Opera again as Marguerite in 1963. In 1964 she was heard in a concert version of Les dialogues des carmélites by Poulenc at Carnegie Hall in New York. She also sang this work in its Buenos Aires premiere. She retired from the stage in 1973 and from 1977 taught at the Paris Academy of Music. The soprano Valérie Millot was among her pupils.
