Alfrothul

In Norse mythology, Alfrothul ("elf beam") is the sun. She will be devoured by the great wolf Fenrir at the destruction of the cosmos. Before her death she will give birth to a daughter who, when a new world has arisen, will walk in her mother's way as the new sun.
