The History of the dwarven Deathmaster Karanach.
Karanach
was born in the Iron Hills, deep down in the dark tunnels of Erebor.
There he grew up with other dwarfs of the Iron Hills and soon became friends
with most of them. They were a strong band of sturdy dwarfs that fought for
justice in Arda where the law-system didn't work. Karanach was trained as one
of the killers among the Khazad-Azanzibar, as they prefered to call themselves.
His teachers were among the most feared and best killers Arda ever seen. Dravin
and Valerian. They taught Karanach everything about how to take the law in own
hands and exterminate the target. The targets where mostly other assassins like
the Durmanhoth and some Sons of Ulfang. Karanach did well as an assassin and he
really enjoyed killing people. While the Khazad-Azanzibar grew stronger and
stronger, Karanach's hunger for fresh blood did the same.
One day some of Karanach's dwarven brothers took him to Mordor. This was a
new experience for the still quite young dwarf. To kill without getting the
sheriffs on your tail. Karanach decided to learn every corner of Mordor and
spent many dark years in the Black Land of Sauron exploring and training.
Karanach was indeed a wicked dwarf who rather spent his time in the mazes
of Sauron that made most people shiver, instead of wandering the tunnels of
Erebor like the other dwarfs. On his strollings in Gorgoroth Karanach met
alot of new faces with similar thoughts and skills.
By this time a free-lancing warrior named Sigmund had killed some of the
friends of Karanach, so he planned and made a trap for Sigmund. Just when
Karanach was about to execute the trap he recived a message in his magic stone from
Darkclaw. Darkclaw wanted to see that Karanach could work for him and take out
contracts, so he told Karanach to take out the 6.5k contract on Sigmund that
noone had been able to take out yet. "That's exactly what I already intended to do"
Karanach had said and then he slayed Sigmund. The next day Karanach was invited to the
secret halls of the Durmanhoth. He served well and was soon awarded a place as
the Chief Assassin of the Durmanhoth, leader of the Assassins.
The dwarf started to hang around with these guys and kill with them. His
memories from the Iron Hills were only faint now and so was the bounds to his
brethren. Karanach started to fall into the open hands of Sauron and soon he
became a tool in the Dark Lords hand. Karanach knew alot of those who opposed
Sauron and his power. With this knowledge many fell bleeding because of the
doings of the former Dwarf of the Iron Hills. The bloodlust that Sauron had
ivoked in the heart of Karanach drove him into killing anyone who entered Mordor
for whatever reason.
The experienced killer became one of the Protectors of Mordor as they called
themselves. At this time there was no bounds left to his former brothers and sisters
from the Iron Hills. The dark assassin Karanach made a name as one of the most
ruthless and deadliest assassins in Arda. Soon the tales of his doings reached
the heart of Mirkwood and the ancient society of Assassins called the Guild
of the Durmanhoth. The rumours reached the ears of the leader Darkclaw, who
was in search for good assassins in the service of the Dark Lord.
Many a foe fell and still falls bleeding with a dark knife sticking up between
their shoulders, the body totally devastaded and the head removed...
