The technique
used is the most ancient and traditional one:
mixed oil and tempera.
It has shown that after centuries,
the colors are still there with an astonishing equal freshness.
Not surprisingly in fact,
oil loves porous backgrounds that takes its exceeding fat,
allowing all degrees of brilliancy.
It allows overpainting as well, trough which alone,
one can achieve the finest shades and hues.
And added to the surface,
which is a smooth coated panel,
its fluidity allows the finest strokes and touches,
and the lightest scumbles as well.
My oil is cleared with my sun,
my gums are melted on my range
and I have mixed my pigments too.
Secure and inspiring!
Sweet,
a love-match of all the elements.
