I was lucky to pick up a job so quick when we arrived.
I’VE GOT A JOB !!!!!!!, actually two jobs, and both offered within 24 hrs of each other. The first is with "Studieframjanet", a language company that wants me to teach English to children and adults. Ericsson is their biggest client. I’m starting next week for a 3 week period to teach basic Eng. to a couple of Ericsson children who will soon be moving to America with Ericsson. This morning I thought that I would go to the local school to get some resources for this job and upon telling them that I was a teacher in Aust., they promptly took me to the Headmasters’ office and offered me a job to teach Year 2 (8/9 yr olds) commencing in Aug. which is the start of their school year. Although it is a Swedish Govt. school, they also run parallel English classes as in this area there is a high ex -pat community. I’m still in shock,, talk about timing!! They said that at this stage the job is until Dec. as they run from a Jan - Dec budget, but there is a high possibility that it will be extended. So, no longer am I a DEPENDANT !!!!! |
