A
week following midsummer in the Swedish archepeligo, Craig and I flew down
to Barcelona for a gluten of a
holiday,, 5 weeks around Spain ! We had 4 days there and then we hired
a car and
basically drove anti-clockwise around the whole country. Highlights
of this trip
include; over-nighting at Montserrat Monastery and accomplishing an
incredibly
hard climb, Tossa de Mer (a tiny little beach resort town), many Roman
and Greek
ruins, hiking and white water rafting in the Pyrenees, volcano exploring,
Pamplona
Bull festival, Segovia, purchasing of swords in Toledo (Craig’s highlight,
not mine,
especially as I was left carrying the big back-pack for the rest of
the trip whilst he
looked after the swords!), Tarifa windsurfing beach and the whole south
coast of
Spain ( we got great tans!), Gibraltar for the English relief, and
finally Sitges which
is a beach resort with a great party atmosphere. We had so much fun
here despite the
fact that it has a huge gay community. These guys were absolutely gorgeous,
however
it was rather disconcerting when my husband was getting more looks
than I was !!
We then finished off our trip with a couple of more days in Barcelona
as it was such
a fantastic town.
