Whiplash-relaterade besvär:

De som har whiplash-relaterade besvär ( engelska: whiplash associated disorders)

har nästan alltid nackvärk, ofta huvudvärk och värk engagerar rygg, ben och

armar.

Andra symtom är, öronvärk, öronsusningar(tinnitus), ögonvärk, ansiktsvärk, tand och

käkvärk, käkledsbesvär, svårigheter att gapa tugga och svälja, yrsel, kraftlöshet, balansrubbningar.

Känslighet kan föreligga för ljus och ljud.

Patients suffering from WAD has a variety of severe symptoms.

Common disorders are: pain in the neck, head and face.

Difficulties in chewing and swallowing (dysphagia) and even opening the mouth,

other symptoms are: tinnitus, pain in the eye/-s, pain in the ear/-s, temporomandibular-joint pain,

vertigo, sleepdisturbances etc.

A dentist´s approach to the problem is of course within the oral cavity and to the intermaxillar

relation. It´s too early to draw generalized conclusions, therapy differs and are based on individual

examination.
