This 2 seater aircraft was, for a short period of time used as a Strike aircraft at 14 Wing (F14, Halmstad),but normally used as a trainer, Sk 28C, in the Swedish Air force up to 1967. Then all the Swedish Vampires were scrapped, and replaced by SAAB 105, Sk60.
There are 6 Vampire's (2 J28B singel seaters, 4 J28 C2 dubbel seaters) still flying in Sweden today, all of them ex. Swiss Air Force planes, phased /sold out 1992.
