The Smashing Pumpkins, Olympia, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The concert started when Billy came alone to play To Sheila. In the lyrics "and i could bring you the light", he pointed to the roof. It was just beautiful. After that D'arcy (in really tight clothes and scary make-up, she looked like a nice witch, and she's really gorgeous) and James (really thin and i don't think he actually looked to the audience) came to the stage. They played the greatest Adore songs in my opinion... they didn't play Daphne Descends and Crestfallen. I think the greatest moments of the concert were the sweet Once upon a time (this song is perfect live) and, of course, the magnificent For Martha, when i nearly broke down and cried.

And i don't think they played Today in any of the other shows of Adore tour. I felt kind of privileged. It was a really pleasant concert and Billy made some jokes all the time. He said he was sorry that Brazil lost the world cup and said "obrigado" (thanks) many times. When a guy jumped on the stage and kissed Billy on the cheek, he stopped playing 1979 and i think everyone thought that the concert would be over at that moment ( i was mad). But Billy was very lively and started the song after calling the guy of "filha da puta" (son of a bitch).   I have to say, i was really surprised by the good mood of the bald pumpkin. He even picked a bra that some girl threw in the stage... I'm sure that the Pumpkins love Brazil as much as we love them here. They have SO many fans here- i was amazed. I'm really glad that i could finally meet my superheroes and i hope i can see them again soon. Really soon.

Thanks to Maura for the review.
