Corotor® II Plus

Dual Band Feedhorn

Description

Chaparral Communications has increased performance and value in the best-selling dual-band feedhorn with the Corotor II Plus. It features Chaparral's patented probe design for C-band reception and a unique low-loss dipole antenna for Ku-band reception. The dipole is virtually invisible to the C-band probe, resulting in superior C-band performance while improving the Ku-band illumination. Both the probe and dipole are controlled by the Chaparral servo motor, providing infinite skew adjustment and quick selection of horizontal and vertical rejection with the widest variety of dishes, from .45 to .30 f/D.

Features

Applications

The Corotor II Plus feedhorn is used in many home and commercial satellite systems for reception of C-band signals used for broadcast of entertainment television, and for reception of Ku-band signals used for network, business, entertainment and educational television.

The Corotor II Plus features an adjustable scalar ring to tailor the feedhorn illumination pattern to the curvate of the dish for macimum signal and minimum noise. The adjustable scalar ring can also help reduce the affects of terrestrial microwave interference (TI) on C-band satellite signals by underilluminating the dish. A simple-to-use f/D gauge is cast into the side of the waveguide for setting the scalar ring with a unique single adjustment set-screw.
