The community of Kallhäll was built around Bolinders' workshops which
moved to Kallhäll from Kungsholmen in Stockholm. In 1906 they began to
build a foundry that started to be used six years later. On the opposite side
of the centre Bolinder built about 15 wooden houses where the employees
lived. Today there're only two left, one of them is called "Glasvillan" because
of the large windows and "Basvillan" because the foremen lived there. In
1909 there were 250 inhabitants and thirty years later there were 400.
