A brief introduction.

Källtorpskolan is a secondary school with

* 380 pupils
* 16 study  groups

* 2 administration secretaries
* 2 school janitors
* 1 nurse
* 1 psychologist
* 3 persons keep our school clean

AIMS FOR OUR SCHOOL
We want to give our pupils opportunities to achieve

* good results
* selfconfidence and motivation
* ethics
* responsibility and participation

METHODS
* pupils who need special support may join a smaller group for more individual education
* we practise special methods for studies in English, Swedish, Science and Maths. For
example, we teach English in flexible groups. Pupils can choose subjects and way of working that suit them best. They are trained to take responsibility for their own studies.

CHOICES
* languages, pupils can choose four-year-courses of German, French or Spanish
* pupils´own choice of subject, it means more advanced studies in one subject of  the timetable during three lessons a week.

The school has got two profiles - Individualized education -  where the pupils get tuition at different levels and -Media education - where pupils and teachers integrate different school subjects in projects using various media technics.

* we give orientation on working life to the pupils in grade 8 and 9
* we think it is important with participation of pupils and participation of parents to reach successful results
* spare time activities, daytime during breaks, evenings with special leaders, discos and movies
* We offer free lunch every day to all our pupils. The restaurant has a staff of six persons
* We have an activity-center at school, a place where the pupils can go during breaks between lessons, daytime, and also in the evenings to amuse themselves. Five persons alternate here days and evenings.
