STARTER/NHL FREEZE PLAY PROGRAM BEGINS OCTOBER 6TH
Ft. Lauderdale - The Starter/NHL Freeze Play program is a month long series of ice hockey clinics and off-ice educational activities targeted at new players. This program will introduce thousands of children throughout South Florida to the sport of hockey through a series of progressive on-ice clinics and off-ice seminars targeted at the whole family, further exposing them to the elements of the sport - all for free. The culminating event, the Starter/NHL Freeze Play Festival, takes place at Miami Arena on November 10, 1997. The event will be attended by members of the Florida Panthers.
A total of 480 children will participate at four area rinks: Miami Ice, Planet Ice, Incredible Ice and Gold Coast Ice Arena. Below is a schedule of dates and times for each participating rink.
Miami Ice - (305/940-8222) - October 6th, 17th & 20th from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
