The Academic Rowing Club in Stockholm is open to all rowers of all levels, from beginners to advanced competition rowers.

We have singles, doubles, double scullers, fours, and eights. We also have inrigged fours (for going a bit further out of the lake) as well as a Concept rowing machine (Gross!).

Come down and see us at the boathouse.

During the rowing season club night is Tuesdays and Thursdays "after work" when there is always someone at the boathouse.

For the winter season we train bi-weekly at the rowing tank, in the basement of the Östermalms gymnasium.

Rowing in Sweden

Everything you always wanted to know about rowing (but were afraid to ask?)

How to find it?

Bus: #40 from Fridhemsplan and Odenplan, Stop: Södra Freskati. Cross the highway and follow the road back towards town. Take a right through the iron gates just after passing the railway underpass. Keep going straight until you get to the water and the green boathouse.

Car Take the road from town to the University. When you see the five main buildings in a row (you can't miss them, the best of 60's architecture) make a U-turn and head back towards town. Take your first right and follow the road straight ahead (Remember: Don't stop at the canoe-club, Argh!) until you can see the light-green boathouse by the water.

Subway to the University, Pass under the highway, keep going straight, over the railway and on for about 100 m. Keep to your left and follow the dirt trail into the woods. When you get down to the lake (after about 300m) keep left, the boathouse is the green thing right on the water.

Taxi: To "Freskati Hagväg 26"
