My name is Per Stoltz. I'm a single male, 24 years old, who lives and works in Karlskrona, Sweden (south-east part). My main interests in life are to:
I think of myself as a kind and gentle person who easily adapts to new environments, grasps the whole of a problem quickly, uses his own and others' knowledge to solve a problem, and makes friends readily (after the initial shyness has left me).
I started playing with computers at the age of eight when my father gave me a Commodore 64 for Christmas. A few years later my mother and father replaced the Commodore with an Amiga 500 and I was hooked!
When I turned 16, I decided to work for a year before continuing my formal education. During that time I held two jobs: as a gas station attendant and an electrician's apprentice. In the fall of '92 when I went back to school, I took courses in electrical engineering and computer communications.
Right after school I got my first job as a PC Support technician at a small company in Karlshamn (where I was born). I worked there for a year and a half before I felt ready for another challenge. So in the Spring of '97, I took a job working as a computer consultant. I worked as a consultant for a variety of companies on both small and large projects. These jobs all required me to work on location.
In the Summer of '98 I was consulting at a company in Karlskrona when their PC Support technician decided to leave the firm. The company, ABB High Voltage Cables AB, decided to offer me his position. I accepted the job for the challenge (well, the money had something to do with it, too!). There were a lot of things I felt needed to be done there and most of these I couldn't do effectively as a consultant. I'm almost finished there now, and have decided to begin looking for an opportunity at another company. I've always dreamed of working in another country and the States is a natural choice.
