13 The pond in the winter UBBINK finished ponds or pond of foil can stand the cold. Even most waterplants can live through the winter. In the fall when the leaves fall of it's a good idea to have a safety net over the pond. It's easy to clean for leaves. If all the leaves falls into the pond they will go to the bottom and in the early spring it can be a reason for getting a lot of alga's. During wintertime you can use UBBINK ice stopper. It will keep the water ice free down to - 15° Celcius. The ice stopper has got air channels built in that lets the air down into the water.
