Dario Argento
Born : September 7 1940, Rome Italy
His father is Movie-Producer Salvatore Argento and Dario has two daughter´s Asia (Trauma, Stendhal Syndrome) and Fiore (Phenomena)
Occupation : Director, Screenwriter, Producer, Composer
He became a professional screenwriter at the age of 20 and in 1968 he shot to fame as co-author of Sergio Leone´s epic Once Upon A Time In The West. Dario made his directing debut in 1969 with The Bird With The Crystal Plumage.
He has a fascination with voyeurism and he often introduces humorous elements, through visual jokes and / or amusing characters. He is a perfectionist and demands a lot of his co-workers.
His favorite director and source of inspiration is Swedish film director Ingemar Bergman.
Whenever the murderer´s hands are shown in his movies Dario uses his own hands.

In 1994 Dario was given a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2nd Montreal Festival International Cinema Fantastique.
