tHE bEGiNNiNG

The thought of starting an mp3group is not acctually a bold idea, very timeconsuming though. But if your goal is to have fun, it doesn´t matter if it takes a lot of time! First of all, we need to state our goals properly, they are: loyalty, friendship and to have a good time. Our main goal when we started was that the achievements shouldn´t take the upper hand, friendship should. By showing loyalty to eachother you build moral, and a strong moral is often the main reason to a groups success.

We started organizing our thoughts of a group. Who should be in it, efnet or undernet (efnet was the given alternative), what should we call us. Me and Wicket_C tried to come up with the answers to all the questions during a fishingtrip in wonderful Sweden. We came up with the name WMC (Warriors Mp3 Couriers) but that was to change later on.

While me and Wicket_C was structuring WMC there were two other guys who also had been thinking about starting an mp3group. Those two guys were DarkWave and Sl00p. They wanted to start a group because they didn´t like the attitude among the other groups in the world in Warez & mp3. They started UDM (Underground Digital Music) and recruited people they knew were serious about the mp3 stage, loyal to their friends and conclusivly kings. After having been offered to join UDM I turned it down because I wanted to continue working with my own planes regarding WMC, I felt that the wheels had started turning and there was no stoping. In a meeting with one of UDM´s leader I suggested that we should develop and build our groups separartely and merge later on. We set a date [1 september 1998 – two years before the millenium]

We separately started looking for people who were well suited to join our families. The first thing we looked at was their personality and knowledge. I have the philosophy that if you are going to work as a group you must be able to talk to each other. Sure, you can talk to a disagreeable person but that will often end in someone leaving in anger…. By having competent and nice people gathered in a group with the motivation to rock, you build a moral and loyalty you often get very, very far on.

Independent Digital Music represents the year 2000, a millenium filled with friendship, loyalty and success. Our goals are to establish our name and give people the music they want to listen to.
