On 2/1, Peter had his first birthday. He is thanking for all the cards he received (to the left). His pals were away on this day so the party was postponed until the next weekend. However, there was still a cake:

Grandpa' was visiting Lynchburg and Peter took his first long walk (with help) in Riverside Park:

An hour's drive southwest of Lynchburg lies Smith Mountain Lake. It's a man-made lake, constructed in 1960. Its purpose was to produce electrical power. At nights and on weekends, when less power is required, the water is pumped back into the lake.
