A game about "Ostindiska Kompaniet" East Indian Company, once situated here in Göteborg. The game is for 2 to 5 players and the object is to buy shares in the Company. Winner is the one with the most shares (there are 16 of them). Each player controls 2 (and later 3) ships that make trades and travels to make the highest profit. The starting positions for each player is different but probably fair.
The ships start in Göteborg and sails to Cadiz where the swedish goods ar sold for spanish piasters, the only currency valid in the far east. The sailing is not done by dices, instead you move your ships by having a card standing just before the ship and then you move your ship to the other side of the card. It's very simple but players shouldn't bother about a few millimetres back and forth, it doesn't matter that much anyway. After Cadiz you travel to the far east to buy the best cargo. In the ports you can buy goods or wait. There are a lot of cards that interfere and you also have to consider your ships supplies. The rules are wellwritten but there are plenty of room for house-rules and other variants.
In every turn you:
1, Play a action-card.
2, Move your ships, one by one and then sell and buy (if the ship reaches or lies in a port) up to 3
goods-cards or take any other actions in a port.
3, Draw a log-card (if you must) and follow the instructions.
4, Buy shares in the company if you are able to.
5, Draw a new action-card
