A Ducati is best enjoyed on backroads or on a track, so when I don't howl down Swedish country lanes with my 916, I take it to the tracks around Sweden. I'm not one of the fastest guys around, but I enjoy it if as I were!! It has even gone so far that I a couple of years ago talked to my local club about starting some sort of streetriders trackdays. I got the okay for a trial day, and it all went so good that now, 5 years later, we have over hundred bikes weeknights every two week we have them and even more when we run them on Saturdays. Just bring a streetlegal bike, protective clothing and pay 100 Skr (about $14 US) and you're in. One hour behind me or some of the other instructors and then you get 2 hours of trying it out on yourself (double on Saturdays). Lotsa fun and I get to ride for free (even get a small amount for my troubles)!!!

March this year we had our first outing on the track. Snow had just cleared and the temperature was just above freezing. I took my camcorder, taped it on the tank of my 916 and recorded a few laps. The camcorder is a very cheap one, and the program I used to digitalize it was even worse, so there is no sound to it. But if you want to see it, just click here. (5mb)
