The story about Bleeder

How we started
Back in 1998-99 Pelle (guitar) and Samuel (drums) sat at the sideway of a road across a local pizzahouse in Karlskoga, Sweden one late night. And they decided right there to form a band together. Pelle had talked for a long time with a local singer, Steve about their common interest in Power and Doom metal. So when he was asked, he joined the band.

The deal was first to call it a project, to see if it could work out. And it did. After some lineup changes and 3 demos to date.
Anyway a bassplayer and a second guitarist was called in and the first demo was recorded and we took us the name: State of Mind. Tracks on the first demo was: Essence of life, Why and Eye for an eye.

Bleeder

We recruited a new guitarist. Crabb, a guitarist from Morticia that Steve had played with before they split up. Together we recorded a second demo. That demo was never released and we didn't do any promotion for this recording. Tracks: Guardian Angel, Rattlesnake, Devil Woman and Leave me alone.

The New Lineup
Time for a new linup change.
We found a new
talented young guitarist in Olle. And a new basplayer Andreas.

We started writing songs for a new demo. And the style turned out more aggressive that we thought it would. Just listen to "Bleeder" and "Where we're you" and you'll understand our way, which is...

Bleeder on grass
Maybe melodramatic metal with heavy guitars, rock attitudes and strong melodies. A new mix of modern metal and old 80's powermetal. A mix of Nevermore, Queensryche and ............. (Put any band you like on the dotted line)

Bleeder is Born
We toke the name Bleeder. And went in the studio to record our third and most angriest demo yet. There we're some personal frustration that had to get out of our systems. And the results is a promotion-cd.

And we have now recorded two more tracks. To be continued...

Bleeder Promotion-cd 2001
