Staffan Folke is my name, the breeder and owner of the prefix Kattresan. I'm living 20 km north Nykoping a small town south Stockholm. I searched the prefix for about ten years ago when I started breeding orientals. Earlier I once had a litter of burmeses but I was so busy at that time so I couldn't continue as I wanted.
When I was a little boy my mother was scared every time we were passing a dog. I must go to them and she was a little bit afraid especially of big dogs. I wasn't.

First we got a cat and then a german sheepdog.

To the right my beloved housecat Gaston. I've got him when he was four years old and I think it took one and a half year before we really understood each other. By mistake he became a showcat and he was very succesful. Twelve times he got BIS or BIS veteran. I had  the privilege to be his friend for ten years. Check his tail, funny isn't it?

In the end of the sixtieth I became interested of flatcoated retriever and started to breed them under the prefix Kloppetiklopp. The breed was not so big, I think we had about fifty individuals in the whole Sweden. At the same time I bought a persian, a blue of course (pedigree ). He was shown twice that year in Stockholm, it were only two shows a year in Stockholm at that time. I realised that I wasn't a person which should have a cat whit a long coat so after a year it wasn't a comb we used in the fure, it was a scissor. He only became five year. It was sad because he was a very nice and cosy cat.

In the top my persian named Sture and down under my labrador Basta and one of my burmeses, Alexander.

Together with my wife we strted  breeding burmeses in 1978. After some years I got an adult burmese and she was grandchild to my first in her mothers side.

My burmese Sorry, a little bit fat in her older days. She didn't understand that you could eat a little bit less when the babies had grown up.

I always trying to breed pure orientals. It isn't so easy but I do my very best.

The reality is almost as the picture to the left. The father, Strix in the middle, the mother Daisy in the front, Tea and Dagmar in the background and the second litter between Strix and Daisy. One chocolate oriental, one redpointed siamese and one chocolatepointed siamese.

My three burmeses, Sorry, Osis and her sister. Sorry, who not always was so polite exept me, shows her right side, the back.

Osis and Daisy (S*Runaway's Dapple Daisy my first oriental female) were rather alike when Daisy was a kitten. In one occasion the in a show the steward ask me to take the right cat out from the cage. She couldn't see the differens between them. Of course she owned another breed, a Norwegian Forestcat. Who is who?
