remmi's school

Six of us went to a secondary school in Kampala to minister. Rick and Emily did not feel well so they stayed at home and Genevieve felt she should stay back, so it was Benjie, Grace, Michèle, Laura, Matt and Elin who went. We, as usual, didn't know what we were doing but listened to God. We did the program on the roof of the school... so we were shouting the message from the rooftop! After the introduction we did Life and Elin shared afterwards. She didn't know before exactly what to say but as she spoke God gave her things to say and it ended up being a pretty long message which included her brief life testimony as well. (It's so weird to write about myself in third person, especially since everybody knows I'm the team journalist.) It was really cool. Then we did Wise and foolish builders and Matt shared after that. Then Laura had a word - Jeremiah 29:11 - and also talked about God's character. For her too, God gave her the words to say as she was up there so that was also...cool (I know, I use the word 'cool' way too much). Then Grace spoke about the father heart of God and so did Benjie, in relation to his relationship with his dad. Then he did an altar call and many students accepted Christ. It was very COOL!

When we got back, Rick had cleaned the house and it looked fabulous!

let's go to kenya!

We left early in the morning on a really comfortable bus to go to Kisumu, Kenya, to intercede for the country. The journey, including the process at the border (passport control, visas and getting free condoms) was six hours. When we got to Kisumu, we were surprised and excited it was actually a real, well developed city! After getting off the bus we were attacked by people who wanted to sell us things and they didn't quite understand when we explained that we didn't have any money, because "life is money and money is life". Life, what is it all about? We went in search for a guest house and finally got one by the lake (Victoria). We had lunch in town, at a really nice Italian restaurant. We had pizza and pasta and it was so good. We spent the evening just hanging out at the guest house. Genevieve had a migraine.

The next we all prayed for Genevieve together before going down to the lake to pray. When we got ther ewe took 20 minutes by ourselves and asked God about Kenya, the spiritual atmosphere and what he wanted for the country et c. Then we met together and shared. We all had got the same things!
