Interests

Music I am generally interested in music, specially classical music and I like go to see conserts. I also like popular music. Also a famous jazzsinger comes from Oviken where I am born. Who?.

Chess One of the more facinating things to do is to play chess. Unfortunately I nowadays have no time for playing it. When I was a student in Uppsala I played a little. But at least I try to be as updated as possible about what´s going on in chess. I have followed up the latest unofficial world championship in chess between Kapsarov and Kramnik. The winner was Kramnik. That was really a surpirse. The championship was inofficial in the sense that the earlier wordlchampion, Kasparov, for long ago has broken with the organization, FIDE. Books At the age of 40 I have got a newly awekened interests for books, especially imaginative literature (fiction). Among the books I recommend is "Angelas Ashes" by Frank Mccourt. The book was really a eye-opener. It is a book about enormous willpower and survival. Another book I recommend is Compulsion by Meyer Levin, a Jewish writer. The book is about a famous muredecase i Chicago 1924, and the following trial. The book is based om a real case, the "Leopold-Loeb case". Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb are youth from the upper class in Chicago, and are convinced that they cam commit the perfect crime, a murder. The defence councel, Clarence Darrow, and his speech in the trial is really worth reading. On this link you can get som more information of the crime. I will later be back with more recommendations.

Social life I like to be togeteher with my friends. One of them is P-G Jönsson. We worked together in the senior high school in Östersund, specially in mathematics. Nowadays he works as an attorney in Stockholm.

Genealogical research I am interested in genealogical reserach. I discovered that Internet can be very usuable. I found one of my relatives in USA. Just by a coincidence.
