These are really easy to paint. This is a basic color scheme and you can
adjust as you like.
- Prime white
- Basecoat entire figure Liquitex Raw Sienna
- Wash entire figure Liquitex Raw Umber
- Paint claws, face, and knobby bits Polly S Griffon Hide
- Highlight same parts with Griffon Hide mixed with white
- Paint fungal growths and leafy bits dark green and highlight with a
slightly lighter green.
- Paint mouth and eyes dark brown
- Pick out teeth in white
- Paint eyes in red and add a small dot of orange for the pupil
- Base
- Seal
The deep recesses of my dryads are ideal for Liquitex washes. If you
want to get a little experimental, after you paint the leafy bits, glue a
small piece of lichen onto each.
