Bob Dylan was born the 1941 as Robert Allen Zimmerman
in Duluth, Minnesota. He grew upp in i mining village, lan Hibbing
near the Canadian border. Hes got four children (Jesse, Anna,
Samuel and Jakob) together with Sarah Lowndes, whom he
was married to 1965 to 1977. Bob Dylan released his first
album ("Bob Dylan") 1962.
After moving to England and working as a background
singer on records together with Johnny Thunders
and Chris Spedding the American Chrissie Hynde
formed The Pretenders in the end of the 70`s. In 1980
one of the best rock album ever, "The Pretenders" was released.
Pretenders is still rockin, thanks to the singer,
songwriter and guitarist Chrissie Hynde.
The roots of rock and roll guitar is much about the biggest of
all: Chuck Berry. Just ask his "pupils" Keith Richards and
George Harrison! Chuck Berry was born in St Louis 1926.
1955 he went to Chicago to try and get a record contract.
He met Onkel Blues, Muddy Waters, who liked him
and sent him to Leonard Chess, head of the classic
record label Chess Records. Berry recorded "Maybellene".
The rest is rock history.
Neil Young grew up in Canada. He now lives in northern
California. He turns 56 this year. He formed the
legendary Buffalo Springfield in 1966 shortly after
movin to L.A.Three years later he released his solo debute
"Everybody Knows This is Nowhere". At the same time as
he released his solo albums he was the fourth member of
the band Crosby, Stills, Nash (& Young) in the end of the
60s and beginning of the 70s. Neil Young has recorded more
than 30 albums in his own name, the best with the band
Crazy Horse.
