By getting this far you know that music plays a major part in my life. I started singing in the local boys choir when I was 6 years old, and took my first piano lesson a year later. In the early 70's my brother and I formed our first band, The Rythmmakers. We were five guys playing covers of our favourite bands, which in those days were The Sweet, Chickory Tip, Gary Glitter, etc. Later on our idols changed, as did our music and band name. After a brief period as Red Hawks we finally changed our name to Backfire in 1975, which is the name most people know us by. Deep Purple and Uriah Heep influenced us a great deal and inspired us to write our own material, which dominated our repertoar during the last years. The band split in 1979. I've played in several bands throughout the 80's & 90's, but for the last ten years I've been more involved with choir music singing with a professional choir, Halmstad Vokalensembel.
