Who are we?

I am Karim Benchemsi. I have a master degree in Computer Science at Lund University
and play the guitar really fast. I have been working since -99 with an IDE for distributed systems.
Mainly my focus is on the compiler, loader and the runtime-system. Currently my work is about
getting the compiler certified for safety-critical applications, so there's a bunch of job doing that but...

Not surprisingly, the first thing that I made on the spare time project was to make a pretty damn good particle system that ruined the performance on Janne's looser computer :)

I am living in Malmö (a city very close to Löddeköpinge) together with my girlfriend.

I am Jan Miderbäck. I have a master degree in Computer Science at Lund University and have been working in the software industry since -97. My main area is embedded system development including real-time systems and safety-critical systems.

I'm the one with the looser computer (933 MHz PIII). We really need it though since Karim really likes to waste all those CPU and GPU clock cycles. Someone must stop him :)

I live together with my family in the southern parts of Sweden in a small village called Löddeköpinge (not very far from Malmö).

Both of us share an interest in algorithms, mathematics, computer graphics and computer games. Since we are a little crazy we believe that it is possible to join these interests and actually make a 3D computer game. We are aware of that it is hard and that commercial games nowadays can take years to finish.

Nevertheless, we shall succeed! It will probably not be the best game you have ever played but that is not our intention anyway. We just want to gain a better understanding of what it is all about - 3D graphic pipelines, rendering, visibility algorithms, game engines, animation, pixel shaders, vertex programs, 3D design and modelling, artificial intelligence, sound and everything else that make the games of today possible.
