Music

Some of you like Pow Wow music ( mostly drums) and other traditional music, and some want to listen to contemporary music.

I recommend you to listen to a certain Pow wow CD: The 1999 Gathering of Nations CD

There is a sound track I can recommend: Smoke Signals - it has a wonderful mix...
Also the sound track from Sioux city is a good one - but that one is hard to get today.
There you will find a mixed collection of Pow Wow music - and it is good.

And if you want to listen to contemporary music, listen to Bill Miller! He has made several records and make tours every year in the US. If I had to choose I should listen to Reservation Road, and Ghost dance - but they are all very excellent.

Do not miss John Trudell, he is a rock poet and is not really singing his lyrics, but you have to listen to him.

If you like country style, listen to Buddy Red Bow. Buddy Red Bow has left us - too early - but he made some records, look for at least two of them: Journey to the Spirit World and Black Hill Dreamer

Go to Amazon.com and search for books, CD:s and videos. Do not forget their auction site. It is worth a try. eBay is also an option - I have found lots of things there. And of course, there will be other sites to, but these are my favorites.
