I live in southern Sweden and have been into this amazing sport for
about a year. I went to Chamonix ten years ago to do some skiing and i noticed some guy's gliding down from Le Brevent one cloudy day. My friend Frank and i decided after 16 zillion beers that we should give it a try, so the next day i tried to wake him but the hangover had messed him up real good. I met up with the French pilot and put the harness on and off we went. It was a great flight. We landed on top of each other and both of my ski's fell off. When i finally heard that there was a Towing field only a few miles from home i knew what to do.
And i don't regret it...
I will put all the decent pics in for you to see and the others i'll keep for myself :-)
31-10. Some new pix from the Swedish nationals in Kittelfjäll and Hammar In Skåne.
6/11 Had a great flight at the Southridge east of Kåseberga. I counted to 11 gliders up at the same time so i was sure to have my eyes open. A few guys seem to like close calls when meeting but i think it's more relaxing to have at least 15-20 meters when theres lots of space. Perhaps it's better for them if the rest of us jumps around while meeting than turning out a few meters and perhaps lose 5 meters i height.
