This is the timeline that we came up with. And itīs the most realistic timeline we could come up with. There are a few dates that are mine from imagination. In our script that we have written for CRYSTAL BLOODLINE and JASON RAISES HELL, we needed to give years and dates for events in the course of the series and some were never given. Like for instance, when Pamela Voorhees is sentenced for the murder of her husband Elias. She is then locked away until 1957 when her son Jason drowns at the nearby camp. She goes insane thereafter. Things like that are of our own, but they are realistic and not just completely made up, they are based on fact.
Also for certain films we had to make the timeline fit the given facts in the series and the realism of our world. So, for parts 1, 6, and 8 we had to find years that had Friday the 13ths in certain summer months. So we had to move the starting year for the series back to 1975, we will just explain in our script that a drunken caretaker screwed up on the engraving to Pamela's tombstone. For part 6, it doesn't neccesarily have to be in June. Some camps open in May. Part 8 can be in July, cause some schools graduate in July. And finally, Tommy playing Zaxon in part 4, well that game came out in 1984, but this is one detail that cannot be helped so just drop it. We are merely a fan trying to fix a timeline, and i think we did a hell of a job. There are just some things that cannot be fixed.
1930: Pamela Sue Parker is born.
1947: June, Friday the 13th, at the stroke of midnight Jason Voorhees is born to sixteen year old Pamela Sue Parker and Elias Todd Voorhees.
1947-1955: Jason Voorhees grows up in a violent home with an abusive father who beat his mother. Jason got beat when his got his father's way of beating his mother.
1955: (August, Friday the 13th), Jason kills his father in self defense for his mother who had been beaten by his father. During the time his mother was getting beaten, the neighbors heard the noise and called the cops. After killing his father, Jason heard the sirens and his mother told him flee from the scene of the crime. She took the blame for her husband’s death and she had the bruises to proove her beatings. When cops questioned her about her son’s whereabouts, she told them that he was out playing in the woods and had been while she had killed Elias.
1955: (September / October.) Pamela Voorhees is put on trial for the murder of her husband Elias. The court finds her only guilty of man slaughter and give her a two year sentence. She is locked up at Montgomery State Prison in Westport, Ohio.
1957: Early Summer (June), Pamela is released from prison and returns home to Crystal Lake.
1957: Jason is swimming in camp Crystal Lake and his body is never recovered from the water. His mother goes insane vowing to kill all responsible for his death.
1958: (Exact date Unknown), a girl is born to Pamela Voorhees, father unknown,she name her Diana.
1958: Mid Summer (June), two counselors at Camp Crystal Lake, Claudette and Barry, are murdered by an unknown prowler. The killer is never found, and the camp is forever known as "Camp Blood."
1975: (Friday, June 13th), Steve Christie attempts to reopen Camp Crystal Lake and he and six of his counselors are brutally murdered by Pamela Sue Voorhees, who is killed by the only survivor, Alice Hardy.
1975: (Friday, June 13th), When Pamela Voorhees is killed her son Jason is summoned from beyond and he rises from his watery grave deep within the lake.
1975: (Saturday, June 14th) When local authorities recover the body of Alice Hardy from the bottom of the lake, she claims that a boy jumped out of the lake and pulled her down into the water. This was never looked into, but the rumors that Jason was still alive began to spread amongst the town people.
1978: (Friday, October 13th) 7 year old Tina Shepherd, in a house on the other side of lake that the camp is on, sees her father drown. She believes that it is her fault, since she used her psychic powers. Tina is then taken to a nearby mental asylum.
1979: Early Summer (June), Chris Parker, 17 years old, at her family’s summer home on Crystal Lake called Higgen’s Haven. One night she is attacked in the woods. She manages to escape, and the assailant is never caught. He is rumored to be Jason Voorhees.
1980: Early Summer (date unknown), the Jarvis family, 12 year old Tommy, his older sister Trish and their mother, rent a summer house on the far edge of Crystal Lake. They are unaware of the old murder site and the counselor training center nearby.
1980: Early Summer (date unknown) Paul Holt has just opened a counselor training facility on Crystal Lake, on the other side from Camp Crystal Lake. The counselors are in training for several days and then suddenly an unidentified killer attacks and butchers six of them. The Camp Director Ginny Fields, 20 years old, some how manages to fight off the killer. And then somehow in the process is knocked unconscious. When she regains her consciousness, Paul is missing and believed to be dead. It has never been proven, but her attacker was believed to be Jason Voorhees.
1980: (The next day) The killer has left the counselor training center, needing a place to rest and let his wounds heal. He steals cloths from a nearby store, and hauls up in an old barn far down the lake.
1980: (The next day) Chris Parker and her friends visit her old home, unaware that the man is hiding in their barn. He murderers all of them but Chris, who axes him in the head. Chris goes crazy from the accident, claiming that it is the same man who attacked her several years before. The police arrive in the middle of the night, and the killer is identified as Jason Voorhees. It is never proven that he was the killer of the training center massacre, but police guess that he had been living in the woods for over 15 years since his alleged drowning.
1980: (The next day) Jason’s body is taken to a morgue. He apparently had not been killed by the blow to the head, and he escaped that night.
1980: One week later (date unknown) The Jarvis family has stayed in their summer home at the lake, despite all of the murders of the past week. Next door, 6 teens have rented the house. Jason Voorhees returns to the lake, kills all of the teens and goes after the Jarvis family. 12 year old Tommy manages to hack Jason up, but goes crazy in the process. Tommy and his sister are the only survivors. The mangled body of Jason Voorhees is buried near the town of Crystal Lake in the Eternal Peace Cemetery.
1984: (time of year unknown) 16 year old Tommy Jarvis is transferred from the Unger Institute of Mental Health to Pinehurst Youth Development Center, a center for people ready to re-enter society. For several days, he believes that he keeps seeing Jason, but they are only in his mind. One of the men staying there, Vic, goes crazy and kills young Joey. This prompts Joey’s father, Roy, to take on Jason’s old MO and kill all the members of Pinehurst. Tommy finally kills Roy/Jason, but goes even crazier, and kills the assistance director of Pinehurst, Pam. The only survivor is Tommy and Reggie Duke, 12 years old.
1988: (Friday the 13th) Crystal Lake has changed its name to Forest Green, and the old camp is opened again. Tommy Jarvis now 20 years old escapes from the asylum, to dig up and cremate Jason for one last time. Jason is struck by lightning, which revives him, and sets him on a killing spree back to the old camp. Tommy manages to capture Jason at the lake. He traps him under the lake in chains. The camp closes down for good due to this killing spree. The authorities list the murders as "unsolved" due to the fact that they have never searched the lake for Jason’s body, and they don’t believe Tommy. He is locked away for good.
1988 Summer (exact date unknown) The name of the area has apparently been changed back to Crystal Lake. Tina Shepherd, 17 years old, returns to the lake with her doctor for treatment. They have rented a summer house. The camp has been torn down, all except for the main lodge which now houses old equipment. Some teens are staying in the house next door. Tina accidentally revives Jason with her powers, he kills the teens in the house next door. She revives her dead father and he traps Jason in chains at the bottom of the lake. This case is also listed as "unsolved", for no one believes the survivors.
1990: (Friday the 13th, July) The graduating class of Lakeview High School are taking a trip to Manhattan on a cruise ship. Jason somehow had boarded a boat (police guess he was revived by an electricity burst.) He gets aboard the cruise ship and slaughters some of the teens. Some escape in a lifeboat to Manhattan, but Jason is following them. A girl named Renee McCulloch, 18 years old, manages to fry Jason in acid. This is the strangest of all Jason Voorhees cases, as a young boy was found on the scene of the crime instead of the body of serial killer Jason Voorhees who was said to be the man responsible for all the dead bodies found. The boy’s body disappeared within an hour of discovery.
1993: (Friday the 13th, August) Jason’s body has disappeared from Manhattan, and killings begin around Crystal Lake again. Creighton Duke makes the statement that Jason is "still out there." The FBI looks into the Voorhees case and come to the conclusion that Jason is somewhat of a super-resistant strong being, having survived so many attacks. They invade the old torn down camp an capture Jason, blowing him to bits. Many strange facts about him are proved during his autopsy, in which his body disappears. It is said that Jason’s living relative has killed him finally and sent him to Hell, but the case is dismissed as a stolen corpse. For the next 2 days, the killings continue until Creighton Duke’s body is found dead in the old Voorhees house. He is blamed for the killings. The only survivors are Steven Freeman, 25 years old, and Jessica Kimble, 25 years old, along with their 1 year old daughter Stephanie.
