Martin har deltagit i mästarkurser för bl.a. Nobuko Imai, Lars-Anders Tomter, Bruno Pasquier, Jurij Gandelsman och Bruno Giuranna. Han har uppträtt på festivaler i Storbritannien, Finland och Sverige, bl.a. Kungsbackafestivalen, Musik vid Siljan, UNG & LOVANDE 2001, en solorecital vid The 28th International Viola Congress 2000, The Northlands Festival och som deltagare i EuroMusicaVitae.
Martin har spelat i svensk och utländsk radio och TV. Han har erhållit ett stort antal stipendier och priser av vilka nämnas kan The London Symphony Orchestra PROMIS Award, Johannes Norrby- och Guido Vecchistipendiet och Kungliga Musikaliska Akademiens utlandsstipendier.
Martin har studerat kammarmusik för Mats Zetterqvist, Levon Chilingirian och Christopher Rowland. Som medlem i The Royal College of Music Chamber Ensemble gjorde han ett stort antal framträdanden, radioinspelningar och turnéer, bl.a. till Tyskland, med konserter i Frankfurt, Berlin och på världsutställningen Expo2000 i Hannover. Som violast i Johnstonkvartetten fungerar han från 2002 som Junior Fellow vid Royal Northern College of Music i Manchester, där han undervisar i kammarmusik. I april 2003 vann Johnstonkvartetten andrapris och Sydney Grillerpriset vid The London International String Quartet Competition. Martin har i kammarmusiksammanhang musicerat med bl a Kungsbackatrion och cellisten Truls Mørk.
Martin har som orkestermusiker spelat i bl a London Symphony Orchestra och som stämledare i Världsungdomsorkestern har han turnerat i Europa och Asien. Under 2001-2002 arbetade han som soloviolast i kammarorkestern Musica Vitae.
Martin är även en hängiven barockviolast. Han studerade för prof. Jan Schlapp vid RCM, och har deltagit i mästarkurser för bl a Jaap Schröder.
Framtida engagemang inkluderar bl a, förutom ett stort antal konserter med Johnstonkvartetten, medverkan i P2:s "Sju Äss i Leken" under 2003 och 2004.

Martin Saving was born in 1975 to mixed Estonian/Swedish parentage. He initiated his studies in 1994 at the Edsberg Institute of Music (the former Swedish Radio Music School), where he studied with professor Björn Sjögren. He made his solo debut in 1999 by performing the Walton viola concerto with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Martin continued his studies as a scholar at the Royal College of Music in London with prof. Simon Rowland-Jones. He graduated in 2001 with distinction. He is since 2002 a Junior Fellow at The Royal Northern College of Music.
Martin has performed in master classes with teachers including Nobuko Imai, Bruno Giuranna, Lars-Anders Tomter, Yuri Gandelsman and Bruno Pasquier. He has also played in festivals in Sweden, Finland and Great Britain, including the Musik vid Siljan-festival, the Northlands festival, the Kungsbacka festival, EuroMusicaVitae 2000, a solo recital at the 2000 International Viola Congress and Ung & Lovande (Young and Promising) 2001.
Martin has performed on Swedish TV and radio, and on BBC Radio 3. He has received a number of scholarships and awards, including the Guido Vecchi-prize, the Johannes Norrby Scholarship, LSO PROMIS award, and scholarships from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.
Martin studied chamber music with Mats Zetterqvist, Levon Chilingirian and Christopher Rowland. As member of the RCM chamber ensemble he did a number of radio broadcasts and toured Germany, with concerts in Berlin, Frankfurt and on EXPO2000 in Hanover. He is a member of the Johnston Quartet, and a Junior Fellow at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. The Johnston Quartet recently won second prize and the Sidney Griller Prize in The London String Quartet Competition. Martin has performed chamber music with, among others, the Kungsbacka piano trio and the cellist Truls Mork.
As an orchestra player Martin has played in London Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and as leader of the viola section in the World Youth Symphony Orchestra, he has toured Europe and Asia, including venues in Berlin, Soul and Manila. During 2001-2002 Martin worked as principal viola in the chamber orchestra Musica Vitae, Sweden.
Martin is also a commited baroque viola player. He studied with Jan Schlapp at the RCM, and has performed in master classes with Jaap Schroder.
Future engagements include performances with the Johnston Quartet and concerts in the radio broadcast series "Sju Äss i Leken" during 2003/2004 in the Stockholm Concert Hall.
