A eventful race the least to say. Michael Shumacher suffered a broken leg in he's 130 m/ph
crash at the first lap, Ferrari says that it was a rear-break failure. He was taken to
hospital in Northampton and is due for operation.
The race was restarted some 40 min later, and saw Mika Hakkinen fly away from Eddie
Irvine, Jean had the pressure on Rubens but was not able to pass, after he's first
pit-stop Jean got a problem with the throttle and he had to pit yet again, so disaster
struck once again, Jean was able to Finish but a long way from the front runners. Mika was
forced to retire due to problems in the pits, a wheelnob didn't want to come on. Now David
Coulthard took he's first win since imola 98. Eddie Irvine came in second and little
brother Shumacher third. |
