"This fifth place is the best result I
could have hoped for considering this weekend has been so difficult for us. The car did
not perform as I had wanted, or expected. There was a total lack of traction and this
meant the tyres did not hold for very long at all. I touched Coulthard - and I have
apologised to him. He accepted my excuses. I know I am an agressive driver, but I feel I
am also a very correct driver too and in that incident I was not doing anything out of
order at all. It was purely a racing accident in difficult conditions. I am disappointed
not to have done better today for my followers here in France." |
